This Privacy Policy describes how Space3PL (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the Rocket mobile application and related services (collectively, the “Service”). The Rocket app is an internal tool used by drivers and logistics personnel to carry out first-mile pickups, last-mile deliveries, and related operations on behalf of Space3PL.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information to operate the Service:

  • Account & identity data: name, email address, phone number, employee identifier, and the driver profile configured by your employer.
  • Precise location: GPS coordinates (latitude, longitude, speed, heading, accuracy) collected while you are on duty, including in the background during an active delivery task. Location data is essential for dispatching, ETA calculation, route optimization, and verifying proof of delivery.
  • Camera & photo content: photographs you capture as proof of pickup or delivery (e.g., parcel photos, recipient signatures, location photos, failed delivery evidence).
  • Delivery operations data: scanned barcodes and AWB numbers, parcel status updates, timestamps, delivery outcomes, failure reasons, and cash-on-delivery amounts collected.
  • Device & diagnostics data: device model, operating system version, app version, crash logs, and performance telemetry used to diagnose issues.
  • Authentication data: securely hashed session tokens stored on the device; biometric prompts (Face ID / fingerprint) are handled by your device's operating system and we never receive your biometric data.

2. How We Use Information

  • To assign, manage, and track delivery tasks in real time.
  • To share your current location with dispatchers and, where authorized, end customers so they can track their delivery ETA.
  • To generate proof of delivery records that our clients rely on for operational and compliance purposes.
  • To communicate with you about your tasks, schedule, and account.
  • To investigate incidents, prevent fraud, and enforce our terms.
  • To comply with applicable laws, court orders, and regulatory obligations.

3. Background Location

The Rocket app uses background location tracking while you are on an active delivery shift. This is required so that dispatchers and customers can view live driver locations and so that delivery events can be geotagged. You can disable background location at any time in your device settings; doing so may prevent you from performing delivery duties.

4. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as described below:

  • Your employer / the merchant: delivery operations data and relevant location data is shared with the logistics operator that dispatched the task.
  • End customers: limited information (driver first name, live location during active delivery, estimated arrival time) may be shared with the recipient of a delivery.
  • Service providers: we use third parties that host our infrastructure, send messages, provide mapping, and perform analytics. These providers process data on our behalf under contractual data-protection obligations.
  • Legal & safety: we may disclose information if required by law, to respond to lawful requests from public authorities, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Space3PL, our users, or others.

5. Data Retention

We retain delivery operations data, including location breadcrumbs and proof-of-delivery photos, for the period required to fulfill the purposes described in this policy and to meet our legal, accounting, or regulatory obligations (typically up to seven years for delivery and financial records). Account data is retained for the duration of your relationship with Space3PL plus a reasonable period thereafter.

6. Security

We apply industry-standard safeguards to protect your information, including encryption of data in transit (TLS) and at rest, access controls, and audit logging. Session credentials are stored on your device using the operating system's secure storage (Keychain on iOS, Keystore on Android). No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your personal information, to object to processing, and to portability of your data. To exercise these rights, contact us at the address below. Because Rocket is provided as an employer-issued workforce tool, some requests (for example, deletion of delivery records tied to your employer's operations) may be limited by our obligations to the operator who dispatched you.

8. Children

Rocket is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

9. International Transfers

Your information may be processed in countries other than the one in which you reside. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for international data transfers.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Effective date” at the top of this page. Material changes will be communicated through the app or by email where appropriate.
